London

We made it back safely from London. We got lucky and had nice weather the entire trip but it was extrememly crowded. I guess that's what happens when you go on vacation during the summer. We stayed busy the entire trip sightseeing, eating fish & chips, drinking beer (cider in my case) at the pubs and practicing our London slang.

One of our favorite parts of the trip was our visit to the Tower of London. They have an awesome Beefeater tour that was quite entertaining. Those guys definitely got the English humor down.

This one kept asking Danny if he was my father. :)

The London Eye was a slight disappointment for a few reasons. First of all it's overpriced - nobody should have to pay $32 to ride a ferris wheel. Second, it was way too crowded. And third, it was a little green house pill of death. I seriously thought we were going to cook in that thing. I did see some great views and got a couple good pictures but would I do it again? That's a big NO!

Big Ben - heard him go off our first day there at 4:00pm.

Westminster Abbey

I've decided some day I want to have a pretty colorful door and an English garden.

Our last day in London we did a tour to see Windsor, Bath and Stonehenge.

We got very lucky that the queen goes on vacation in August so all the rooms in Windsor Castle were open.

We toured the Roman and Medieval Baths in Bath. Bath is a beautiful city and we both agreed we wish we could have spent a little more time there.
