We ended up having 7 crates of stuff which is about 7-8,000 pounds. The movers told us we had more stuff in our little apartment than most people with 4 bedroom houses. I guess all those "containers for containers" really helped out.
They had to move everything from the living/dining room out into the courtyard to make room to pack up the other rooms. The little boy that lives next door asked if we were having a yard sale. The movers told him they didn't think his allowance would cover it all. :)
The one benefit is our apartment looks huge now.
